Can someone please tell me what area in San Antonio is a good one for a family? A safe one, with good schools and close to things, not a long commute to work, etc.

Well, I don't know where you will be working, but the nicest and newest and most modern areas are the northside, northwest side and upcomming is the west side. Do NOT go east or south unless you have a lot of insurance and a lot of guns.

The area around coker elementary, bradley middle school, and Churchill highschool. it isn't far from downtown and it is very safe neighborhood. The schools are great as well.

Good day, Northeast and north central areas of San Antonio are in the NEISD with has the highest ratings(schools)..Alamo Heights in the 09 zip is also highly rated...living in San Antonio is wonderful, great weather, music, seaworld and Fiesta texas and great day trips for families to the towns around us...the best in Mexican food and the World famous Riverwalk...and God bless the ALAMO....welcome to our city...
